Letter from Our Chairman
Ten years have elapsed since the launching of the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development in 2001, at the beginning of a new millennium and amid great hopes for Egypt's economic and social development. The Foundation was born particularly to create jobs for young Egyptians aspiring for good careers and better living standards. Our aim was to invest in human welfare and sustained development, and provide vital safety nets and much-needed services in some of our most deprived communities.  Since then, our job creation schemes have covered many areas of concern and created thousands of sustainable jobs while our education and training schemes have created new opportunities for thousands more.
