Within the framework of the Sawiris initiative to support the fight against the Coronavirus, and under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development has been keen to actively contribute to the implementation and activation of health protection plans by supporting the efforts of the Egyptian Red Crescent in sterilizing vital institutions and facilities in the country. This measure is considered one of the most important preventive measures to ensure the safety of citizens and limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
Within the framework of the Sawiris initiative to support the fight against the Coronavirus, the Egyptian Red Crescent teams sterilized all the sidewalks and train cars, which amounted to 312 vehicles, other than the station lobby, and all administrative offices, with a total area of 6000 square meters. The Red Crescent and the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development also cooperated in distributing 800 personal hygiene kits to the affected families in the villages under domestic isolation in the governorates of Giza, Menoufia and Al Gharbeya. In another context of interventions, basic services have been provided and food and medicine are provided to community members in 7 areas affected by the outbreak of the epidemic and under domestic isolation. The Egyptian Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, continues the humanitarian work it provides to the community in light of the increase in the number of injured and the outbreak of the epidemic, and works to spread health awareness and correct behaviors in order to preserve members of society.
