Project Context:
The Foundation provides scholarships for extraordinary Egyptian undergraduate students interested in studying at prestigious universities in Germany so as to gain skills that will benefit Egypt. The scholarships are awarded based on merit and character as demonstrated through academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and social behavior.
Objectives:
To award a full scholarship (fees and living expenses) for two candidates from the Deutsche Evangelische Oberschule in Cairo (DEO) for a maximum of five years to complete their undergraduate degree, either International (Bachelor/ Master) or National (Diplom) in Germany.
Partners:
The Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Diens (DAAD) is one of the world's largest and most respected intermediary organizations in its field as it has supported scores of students, teachers, researchers and scientists to gain valuable experience abroad. The DAAD administers the scholarship.

Project Status:
The scholarship has been awarded in August 2005 to Mr. Mostafa Bedair Metwally and Miss Nadine Adel Keddis following a rigorous selection process. Mr. Mostafa Bedair plans to pursue a Diplom in Economic Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt and Miss Nadine Keddis plans to acquire a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Freiburg.
